The day will be based around a 3 on 3 Basketball tournament, with teams competing for the Gala Basketball Trophy. The tournament was held last year and was a great day for everybody involved.

Although the 3 on 3 tournament is not the only cool thing going on during Clifftop basketball 2010, there will also be childrens coaching sessions being coached by Patrick and fellow basketball player and coach Agie Manning, teaching local children the FUN-damentals of the game.

The day is organised by Great Yarmouth born basketball player Patrick Manifold with the intention of promoting participation in BASKETBALL and a promoting the benefits of a HEALTHY LIFESTYLE , especially for children in the local community.

The whole event started after Patrick and fellow event organiser James Borg, wanted people in the area to get a chance to see how much talent we have in the area and also to help more people get into the sport.

James has been playing basketball for over a decade and is very passionate about the game and both were very happy with the success of last years event.

Patrick has been playing basketball for a decade and coaching basketball to children in Norfolk since 2003. After acheiving much success playing in England Patrick is now playing in the U.S.A at a University in New England.

More than anything, the day is designed for the community, we want children to come and enjoy learning about the game and for everybody to have a great day, with the proceeds going to a worthy local charity.

The day will also include:

  • Childrens coaching sessions
  • Mum and Dad's shootouts
  • Music
  • Lots more fun for all the family
